The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus invites you to join us for bi-annual convention in Columbus, OH, August 18-19, 2018. The theme for our convention this year is“Our Time is Now,”as it applies to all things affecting the black community in Ohio from civic engagement to social justice and why now is the perfect time for us to build consistency and strength in both electoral justice and community investment. The convention workshops/panels will take place at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, offering several treks for attendees (Faith and Politics, Millennial’s, and Our Community). The pinnacle of the convention weekend is the inaugural Evening of Champions Dinner which takes place at COSI, beginning at 6:30pm, Saturday August 18, 2018. The Evening of Champions celebrates achievements and trailblazers both past, present, and future for African Americans, while also focusing on the call to action for this critical election cycle.
The convention workshops are free while the Evening of Champions Dinner is a ticketed event. We hope you will be able to join us! The Evening of Champions Dinner preferred dress code is evening wear.
