The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus seeks to provide opportunities for our next generation of leaders here in Ohio. This internship program is designed to provide college students or young professionals with an increased understanding of state policy, political research/analysis, political strategy & messaging, and overall government at the state assembly level. Interns will develop skills such as, communication, research, multi-tasking, and strategy, while learning to work in a high paced environment in order to help provide positive changes in local communities around Ohio.
Internships at a minimum are a semester-long during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and should be at least in their second semester of their freshman year of college at the time of application. Applicants should have a permit to work in Ohio if they are a non-U.S. citizen. Additionally, applicants should have an interest in public service, government, law, or the policy-making process. Recent college graduates who have graduated no more than a year from the internship program start date, as well as graduate students, are eligible to apply. This is a non paid internship.
